GEORGE HORSERIDING NEWS - The South African Eventing Championship held at the George Riding Club last weekend was a fabulous event that drew a great number of enthusiastic spectators.
The riders not only had to battle very technically built courses, but were tested by adverse weather conditions.
Three local riders who showed their mettle were Ashley King (first, adults 80cm horses), Tayla Pelham (second, juniors 80cm horses) and Lila Theunissen (first, 80cm ponies).
Many local businesses helped make the event happen with their generous sponsorship, including Patio Warehouse, Gondwana Game Reserve, Courier It, Mysthill Farm, the Redberry Farmstall, Denzil Kleu Properties, Meridian Wines, Oakhill School, Oakhurst Farm Cottages, and Stafix fencing.
