The trials took place at George South Primary School with 16 schools taking part, as well as several home schoolers.
Age groups varied from u.7 to u.19. The next trials will take place on 25 February at Pacaltsdorp Primary School.
Of the 264 players a total of 50 are learners of George South Primary. For the first time ever, the school had two families represented by three brothers each - three Prince and three Stander brothers - who participated in the trials.
