KARATE NEWS - A dedicated team of five athletes of the Karate Zen George Dojo, part of the Eden Karate Federation, proudly represented the Western Cape at the Karate South Africa (KSA) League One Championship 2025 in Bloemfontein last weekend.
Competing against top talent from across the country, the small but determined team brought home a total of eight medals (three gold, three silver, two bronze), contributing to the Western Cape’s overall haul of 120 medals.
With this remarkable performance, Western Cape was once again crowned overall winners, firmly maintaining their position as the number-one-ranked province in South African karate.
The dojo gave special acknowledgment and sincere appreciation to Chief Instructor Sensei Mareon Ferndale, whose ongoing dedication, guidance and motivation continue to inspire his students to reach new heights.
Karate Zen George said it is through his tireless support and leadership that many of these young athletes have had the opportunity to compete - and succeed - at national level events.
The team extended their gratitude to all their supporters, families and the federations involved in making this achievement possible.
