REGIONAL NEWS - George and Mossel Bay squash clubs hosted the exciting on-court battles in the Eden Primary Schools League Squash Tournament last weekend, with eight participating teams.

This two-day tournament kicked off in George on Friday 4 October, with the majority of the matches being played at Mossel Bay Squash Club on Saturday.

The top two teams came from Riversdale, with Laerskool Voorwaarts as the winner and Laerskool Vorentoe as runner-up. The first team of Outeniqua Primary took a third place.

Other teams from George include George Preparatory School, a second team from Outeniqua Primary and Laerskool George-Suid.

Laerskool Voorwaarts from Great Brak River and a team of homeschoolers, called Wildcats, joined the fun on the squash courts.

Spectators kept a close eye on the many matches and were treated to some exciting on-court battles. The matches were keenly contested.
