GEORGE BOWLS NEWS - The last of three rounds in the John Dory George Twilight bowls competition at the George Bowling Club will be played on Tuesday 22 January.

The first round was played on 20 November and the second on 11 December 2018.

The winners of the first round was a team from Outeniqua Bowling Club consisting of Barry Connellan, Danny Weeks and Johan van Aswegen. The winners of the second round was a George team with Edith and Ken Spence and Rina Pienaar.

The sponsorship involves a meal voucher worth R50 for each participating player, as well as a R200 meal voucher for each player of the winning team, on each of the three evenings that the competition is played.

Each player is treated to a meal consisting of the famous fish and chips, served by John Dory at the club after every evening's play.
