BOWLING NEWS - The George Bowling Club had the immense privilege of hosting the Eden Trips Men's and Ladies' semi-finals and finals right here on their home turf last weekend.
Not only did their players dominate the greens, but the greens have also not seen so much drama, so much precision and so many people intensely staring at little white balls.
The club is proud of surviving the pressure, the bias and the catering demands - and believes its grass deserves a medal just for putting up with this much talent!
On the podium, the George Bowling Club made huge inroads. In the men's section, Jacques Barnard and his team won gold, while in the women's section, Maryke Rabie and her team won silver and Colleen Piketh and team bronze.
The club extended a massive thank you to all the visiting teams, the supporters who yelled themselves hoarse and everyone who made the weekend unforgettable.
