GEORGE NEWS - Pickleball fans are in for a treat as George prepares to host its first-ever Provincial Pickleball Tournament on 17 and 18 May.
Organised in collaboration with Pickleball George, the tournament will welcome top players from the Western and Eastern Cape as they compete for a place in the upcoming Nationals.
Jan Fourie, owner of Pickleball George, says he’s excited to see the sport grow in the region and hopes locals will come out to support the event.
“This is a big step forward for pickleball in our area,” said Fourie. “We’re proud to help bring players together and introduce more people to the sport.”
The two-day tournament will feature matches in both the Open and 35+ divisions, with singles, doubles, and mixed doubles categories. The public is warmly invited to attend and enjoy a weekend of energetic and entertaining pickleball action.
