GEORGE NEWS - The Eden Pro 10 Pairs Bowling tournament was held over the weekend of 17 and 18 August at various clubs in the Eden District, with 104 teams taking part.
Of these, 26 were from George Bowling Club.
The Saturday saw the teams drawn into 13 sections of eight teams each.
The top 26 teams from the first round went through to the playoffs on Sunday at Hartenbos Bowling Club.
The top 16 teams then went through to the knock-out rounds. This culminated in Billy Radloff and Zakes Salemane beating Henk Barnard and Erwee Harding-Male to take gold.
Barnard and Harding-Male took silver and in third place (bronze) were Prof Stadler and John Young.
