GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The annual Oubos MTB marathon is synonymous with Blanco Primary School and one can hardly imagine a year without this family-friendly mountain bike race.
"This year we have joined hands with Chain Gang Events who are helping to organise the event and we are once again grateful to Earp Construction who is our main sponsor," said the school's acting principal, Estée Terblanche.
Oubos takes place on Saturday 25 March and the school and organising team are looking forward to getting everyone and their families involved in a variety of activities that take place on the day. Participants in the mountain bike marathon can sign up for a 10km, 25km or 50km distance.
"Come support the potjiekos competition and save yourself the trouble of making lunch at home," says Terblanche.
Entries can be made online on Chain Gang Events' website or participants can complete an entry form at the school.
There will also be a 2km Colourfun walk. Entries can be done between 07:00 and 07:50 on the day and the participants can prepare to start walking at 08:00. Entries cost R30 for adults and R10 for learners.
