GEORGE BOWLS NEWS - Round 3 of the Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty Summer Business League was held at the George Bowling Club on Tuesday evening, 30 March.
The competition is heating up, with the teams being split into the Cup and Plate divisions after this round.
The evening was won by the team from Tellcorp, who overpowered the Two Oaks Landscaping team with a score of 19-9. They were closely followed by the Waterboys team, who defeated the team of Security Superstore by 15-9.
The top of the table clash between Supporters and Daisy Solutions did not live up to expectations, with Supporters winning the game 12-3. Daisy Solutions are sure to put up a strong fight in return. Supporters are now top of the log and will lead going into the Cup Event, with a tally of 38 points - plus 25, closely followed by York High School and Team Mazars Gold.
Other teams in the Cup Event are Sotheby's, Characters, Russel Rich Foods, Daisy Solutions, Millers Inc., Wilderness Hotel and Waterboys.
The Plate event is led by Raubenheimers Attorneys, followed closely by Tellcorp, both of who are on 23 points, separated only by the shot difference of three shots.
The next round will be played today, Thursday 8 April.
The Characters team - Greig Fleet, Juan Byles, Chris Coetzer and Errol Williams.
The Security Superstore team are Renier Marais, Bernard Baillache, Chantel Baillache and Kayla Mulder.
