GEORGE NEWS - The final round of the Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty Spring Business League was held at the George Bowling Club on Tuesday 26 November with a few nail-biting games, and surprising outcomes in both the cup and plate sections.
The overall winners of the cup were the Old Mutual Green Machine team with a clear win on 68 points.
Watsons Meat enjoyed their win over the Wilderness Hotel, which rocketed them into second place on 63 points, up from their fifth position ranking at the end of round 5.
The team from York High School played consistently well throughout the league, finishing in third position at the end of round 6.
The plate winners were A Chimes Van Wyk Attorneys. From left are Hielét Combrinck, Lauren Marthinus, Jacques Jordaan and Adéle van Wyk.
In the plate event, A Chimes Van Wyk Attorneys, newcomers to the business league, shot into first place on 54 points, with Matrix in second place on 51 points and the George High Rollerzz close behind them on 49 points.
Burger & Associates enjoyed their win against the previous round's session winners, Alley Angels from NuSkinnovation, and were awarded the session prizes for the night.
