GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Golfers are invited to participate in the 2020 People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA George) and Skoenboks Projek Charity Golf Day at the George Golf course on 29 October.
You can be part of this fundraising event in four ways:
1. Play on the day - R400 per player or R1 600 for a four-ball
2. Sponsor a four-ball
3. Promote your business by sponsoring a hole (green or tee)
4. Sponsor a prize
Formats
Greensomes
Both golfers in a team tee off, the one best drive is selected, and you play alternate shots from there. Stableford points on all 18 holes to determine the winning team.
Handicap calculation
- The team players' handicaps are added together and divided by 2.
- Example: 10 + 18 divided by two = players to play off a handicap of 14.
- A maximum of nine drives per player allowed.
Ladies and gents
- Ladies play off the red course.
- Gents play off the blue course.
- Gents with no handicap play off an 18, while ladies with no handicap play off a 23.
- Golf carts must be pre-booked directly with the George Golf Club on 044 873 6116.
