GOLF NEWS - Fort Outeniqua will host the Jan Breytenbach Golf Day at the Mossel Bay Golf Club on Friday 8 May.
This special event has been established to honour the life and legacy of Colonel Jan Breytenbach, regarded as one of South Africa's most decorated and respected military figures, the founding father of the South African Special Forces, 32 Battalion and former officer commanding of the 44 Parachute Brigade.
The competition will follow an American scramble format. A floating trophy will be awarded to the winning team.
The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf with a shotgun start at 11:30, as well as a halfway house and light dinner.
Registration on the day opens at 09:00 at the golf course. Businesses and individuals also have the opportunity to get involved through hole sponsorships.
Golf carts can be booked directly at the pro shop at an additional cost.
