GEORGE GOLF NEWS - Binah and Legacy Centre hosted their first "T-off for Autism" golf day last Monday, 24 May, at the George Golf Club raising funds towards the development of their Cambridge curriculum for the children of the centre.
The format on the day was a member's competition, betterball stableford and the business sectors of George, Mossel Bay and Klein Karoo donated with big hearts to help make the day a resounding success.
Legacy Centre, a tutoring centre for children with special needs, will celebrate its fifth birthday on 1 August.
Marelize Piek, manager of the centre, was stunned by the support showed by the community and the members of the George Golf Club on the day.
"The funds raised today will help us develop the Cambridge curriculum our learners follow and extend the material we use to stimulate our children's sensory integration," she commented.
The organisers of the event are looking forward to their next golf day on 27 April 2022 at the George Golf Club.
