GEORGE NEWS - With few fixtures remaining in the league, Vultures spread their wings high when they sank Southern Academy 2-1 in a tough Promotional/Development League on Saturday afternoon, 7 September at the Lawaaikamp Stadium.

Inathi Mabele and Hlumelo Stwayi converted the two goals for the the high-flying team, while Yanga Mtshonyana netted the solitary goal for the Academy team.

Khanyani Nobhakada, George Vultures' shot-stopper, delivered a stellar performance in their game against Academy, standing in their way and blocking their clear-cut chances during the game. 

With 56 points, the Vultures are aiming at the second position fighting their way up to reach the promotional spot. They have played 25 fixtures with 17 victories, 5 draws and 3 defeats. 

Meanwhile, Southern Academy is currently battling for the top eight positions with 35 points in their bag.
