GEORGE NEWS - Burning Fire's (Umlilo) second team staged a remarkable performance when they held the log leaders, George Celtics (Sele sele), to a 1-1 draw in a Promotional League encounter at the Lawaaikamp Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Umlilo is occupying the bottom half of the log table with 19 points while Celtics are currently sitting comfortably at the top spot with 50 points.
The first half saw both teams looking very smart on the ball.
Burning Fire capitalised on Celtics' poor defence and managed to get a penalty. Asakhe Solwandle of Umlilo netted the first goal, with their defence keeping the log leaders from scoring during the rest of the first half. In a fast-paced second half, Celtics were on top of their game with quick responses to Umlilo's offensive play.
Celtics took the game from Umlilo, dominating from the centre of the field, and Baphilile Cezu capitalised on their opportunity in the last minutes of the game, scoring the equaliser.
