A penalty kick by Siwaphiwo Ndumiso of Simunye put the first score on the board and they extended their lead when Keathon van Rooyen netted another superb goal. Simunye were leading 2-0 into the break.
The second half saw United Brothers throwing in everything they had to come back. In addition to the team missing a free kick and a corner kick, Simon Nell and Ayabonga Sawuli tried to score.
At first they had no success while Simunye added a third goal. A penalty by United Brothers' Ayabonga Sawuli also missed the mark. Brothers' perseverance paid off eventually with Sawuli scoring after a corner kick from the left side of the field.
It was however too late for Brothers to catch up and the final whistle saw Simunye emerge as the winners.
