GEORGE NEWS - The pace-setters Simunye FC from George kept their Safa Eden Regional Men's League title hopes alive when they registered crucial points away from home.
The Lawaaikamp soldiers and log leaders defeated FC United 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, 2 April at Hornlee Stadium in Knysna.
The two goals were converted by the evergreen Khanyisani Radebe.
Simunye need to collect five points in the three games that are left in order to be crowned the 2021/22 Safa Eden champions. In the first leg they sank FC United 3-0 at the Lawaaikamp Stadium in George.
Simunye (67 points) have played 27 games of which they won 21, with four games tied and two games lost. FC United currently sit in second position with 60 points with three games left and Peace Makers (Mossel Bay) are right behind them with 56 points with five games in hand.
