GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Lawaaikamp’s Simunye Football Club, a HollywoodBets Regional League team, clinched the Geolfa Easter Soccer Festival title with a 2-0 win over Paris United in a thrilling grand final on Saturday 26 April, at Thembalethu Stadium.
Pule Mosoa and Shane Booysen scored the crucial goals to secure the victory for the local side.
Leading up to the final, Simunye edged out NMU Madibaz 2-1 in the semi-finals, while Paris United, a Geolfa Promotional League team, defeated Fast Eleven 3-1 to earn their spot.
Pule Mosoa shone brightly in the final, controlling the midfield and creating key scoring chances.
The win earned Simunye FC the R25 000 top prize and bragging rights as Easter champs. Congrats to our Lawaaikamp heroes!
