GEORGE NEWS - One of the success stories for the Pacaltsdorp Football Club, Sangenathi Gwavu (17), recently won his first trophy (Mayors Cup) after joining the Mossel Bay team Sea Birds Football Club, that plays in the Safa Eden Hollywoodbets Regional League.
Gwavu is a Grade 11 learner at Heatherlands High School in George.
Despite facing many challenges in Geolfa, some of the Pacaltsdorp side players were looking promising.
The young full back says that, while it is always a difficult decision to sign with an away team, he is enjoying being part of Sea Birds FC. He is learning more from the senior players and he believes they will perform well in 2024/25 season.
Pacaltsdorp Football Club manager Ociano Pretorius is sorry to see Gwavu leave his team. He says Gwavu is one of the hard workers, always willing to learn and improve his game. Gwavu is a good listener and always follows instructions.
