SOCCER NEWS - On Saturday afternoon, 15 November, 29 Western Cape Mamelodi Sundowns supporters clubs gathered at the Thusong Centre in Thembalethu for the election of the provincial committee.
The national chairperson, Obed Mahlala, and the national secretary also attended the proceedings.
Mahlaba encouraged the various supporters clubs to unite as one family when faced with challenges and to work together to achieve their goals. He reminded them that sport is important, bringing together people from different backgrounds into one family.
New committee
The re-elected Western Cape supporters chairperson, Mzukisi Tengile, said he is ready to carry on the work with the newly appointed committee.
He thanked the previous committee for being able to work together well. He also stressed that the aim for all the branches is to recruit more members within the Western Cape.
The other committee members are:
• Provincial deputy chairperson: Thembelani Fatuse (George)
• Provincial secretary: Zolani Fundakubi (Strand)
• Vice secretary: Fikile Sona (Malmesbury)
• Treasurer: Sisakazi Siyogo (Strand).
