SOCCER NEWS - Being the champions of the One Love Annual Soccer Tournament on Valentine's Day, Jonga High School's soccer team received new jerseys on Friday 17 April as part of their prize.
The team had outplayed Imizamo Yethu High School for a 2-1 win in the tournament final.
Douw Bezuidenhout and Andile Mobo visited the school to hand over the jerseys as representatives of the tournament sponsors, Henque Waste.
Bezuidenhout said they support soccer as it has the power to unite young people across various backgrounds, building togetherness, mutual support and confidence in Thembalethu.
