FOOTBALL NEWS - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune could miss Bafana Bafana's World Cup qualifier with Senegal after he was injured in the TKO match against Chippa United on Sunday.
Khune collided with Chippa midfielder Kurt Lentjies late on in the game in Port Elizabeth, which Amakhosi won 1-0 to book their spot in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals.
The Bafana Bafana first-choice shot-stopper was stretchered off the field, with Chiefs later confirming the extent of the injury on Twitter:
"Injury Update: Captain Itu has a fracture to a bone in his face. He will see a specialist regarding this and we will update you after."
South Africa host Senegal at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday night, before playing the Teranga Lions four days later in Dakar.
Bafana need to win both matches to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
