GEORGE NEWS - The annual George Local Football Association (Geolfa) Heritage Tournament kicked off yesterday, Saturday 13 September, at different venues in George - Lawaaikamp Stadium, Maraiskamp Stadium (Parkdene) and Thembalethu Stadium.
This tournament is one of the pre-season football festivals in George.
Last year's finalists, Black Cats, and Simunye FC, both from Lawaaikamp, started the soccer fest with positive results after winning their first fixtures in the tournament.
A total of 32 teams are battling it out for the first prize of R15 000, second prize of R7 000, third prize of R4 000, fourth prize of R2 000 and from fifth to eighth place of R1 000.
