GEORGE NEWS - Heaven Stars from Thembalethu has surprised football lovers by qualifying to play again in the SAB Regional Promotional League that will start in October this year.
Heaven Stars kept their supporters' hope high after scoring 14 goals against Zama Zama in their first match on Saturday 18 August.
After this, Heaven Stars only needed one point to qualify and they managed to obtain the crucial point in their last game against host team Vangeli FC on Sunday afternoon, 19 August, at the Extension 23 Stadium in Mossel Bay.
Heaven Stars defeated Vangeli 2-1, scoring both goals in the first half.
Vangeli FC tried very hard to capitalise after scoring one goal, but failed to convert their scoring opportunities.
Heaven Stars used their physical strength and experience to capitalise on Vangeli's poor decision making and weaknesses in the back line.
The goals for Heaven Stars were scored by Khaya Shumani and Odwa Sandaza.
