GEORGE NEWS - George Soccer Academy is delighted with its u.21 boys who were selected to take part in the Manchester International Easter Football Tournament last week.
Together with players from Pro Skills (Gqeberha), the team made a great impact against many teams from all over the world.
Achieving third place overall, these young men proved they have what it takes to go even further.
While all the players worked hard and deserve the applause, there were three of GSA's players who really stood out against the competition and have been invited to showcase their skills for trials in other European countries: Liam le Roux in Zagreb, Croatia on 8 April, and Jordan Burgess and Alec van fen Berg in Poland on 29 April.
The academy is positive that the connections made overseas will lead to many opportunities for George football players as they grow in their commitment to soccer and develop their skills.
The academy is excited about the prospect of taking its u.11 A team next year.
Keeper Jordan Burgess is chuffed to hold the team's 3rd place trophy.
