GEORGE NEWS - The Rosemoor-based side George Celtics secured a 1-1 draw against Thembalethu outfit George Vultures in a Promotional/Development League encounter on Sunday morning, 23 June at the Lawaaikamp Stadium.
With 33 points, George Celtics are currently in third position on the Promotional League log table.
They have played 15 games with ten wins, three draws and two defeats. George Vultures are battling to reach the top four. Shakeal Malapan of George Celtics was played an outstanding game - steering on attack and using great touches on the ball, and his award came when he managed to score for his side.
Though there were no goals in the first half, it was a tough face-off with both teams playing a well-balanced game attacking on the flanks. George Celtics were using their physical strength on the ball while the Vultures back line did very well on defence.
