GEORGE NEWS – The highly anticipated annual Easter Soccer Tournament kicked off with great excitement at Thembalethu Stadium on Thursday evening, 17 April.
A total of 32 teams from across George have entered the competition, all vying for the coveted top prize of R25 000.
This vibrant soccer spectacle is taking place at three different venues within local communities: Thembalethu Stadium, Lawaaikamp, and Maraiskamp Stadium in Parkdene.
The knock-out stages are scheduled for Sunday, with the semi-finals and the grand finale set to take place on Monday afternoon at Thembalethu Stadium, promising an electrifying end to the tournament.
Earlier today, Friday 18 April, Western Tigers claimed a solid 3-1 victory over Tigers FC. Duma Khenene was the star of the match, scoring a brace to secure maximum points for the Western Cape side.
