GEORGE NEWS - Black Cats booked their place in the semi-finals of the Easter Soccer Tournament after a hard-fought victory over Future Stars at Thembalethu Stadium earlier today, Sunday 5 April.
The quarter-final clash ended in a goalless draw in regulation time, with both sides creating chances in a well-balanced encounter.
The Lawaaikamp outfit held their nerve in the penalty shootout, defeating Future Stars 4-2 to advance.
The tournament is heating up, with eight teams contesting the quarter-finals across Lawaaikamp and Thembalethu stadiums.
Simunye FC, Abahlali, All Stars, Nelson Mandela University, Black Cats, Heaven Stars, Super City and Fast Eleven remain in contention in what has been an exciting Geolfa Easter soccer festival.
The semi-finals and final are scheduled to take place at Thembalethu Stadium, with the 2026 Easter Soccer Fest final set for Easter Monday afternoon.
