GEORGE FOOTBALL NEWS - Black Cats football club's u.15 development team defeated Shukela u.15 3-1 on Sunday afternoon, 5 September, at the Lawaaikamp Stadium in a junior league game. The goals were scored by Lihle Toto, who netted three goals for Black Cats, and Akhona Kweleta for Shukela.
The home side, Black Cats, started the game on the right side of the field playing the ball on the ground. Shukela responded with an attack on the left side of the field but their attempt at goal went wide, missing the target.
Black Cats scored their first goal after a beautiful play from the centre of the field. Black Cats played attacking football, creating several scoring opportunities.
The Shukela defenders were struggling against Black Cats' wings who were displaying marvellous touches on the ball. Black Cats scored their second goal after launching an offensive from the centre of the field.
The second half of the game started on high note with Shukela creating goal-scoring chances. The Lawaaikamp young boys were controlling the game from the centre of the field creating a chance up front for Lihle Toto (Black Cats) who tried his luck outside the box, but his clever shot was well denied by Shukela's goalkeeper.
Toto scored his third goal making it 3-0 after he received the ball from the centre of the field.
Shukela launched another offensive drive from the left side of the field and the boys managed to score their only goal, making it 3-1.
