Babize Bonke soccer challenge in full swing

FOOTBALL NEWS - The Babize Bonke (Call them all) pre-season soccer tournament kicked off last weekend at the Thembalethu Stadium, with the last game scheduled for Sunday 4 September.

The organisers of the event are Bonisile Hani, Heaven Henge, Xola Makinana, Isaya Sitimela, Zolani Makendlana, Onke Thwala, Thabiso Booysen, Luvuyo Ncamile, Luvuyo Mlahleni, Zakuthini Muma and Zanoxolo Zindlu.

Twenty four teams from George are taking part: Abahlali, Bangalore, Black Cats (first and second teams), Burning Fire (first and second teams), Eastern City, Fast Eleven, Future Stars, Heaven Stars, New United Brothers, Paris United, Raul Stars, Thembalethu Brothers, Vuvuzela, Western Tigers, Shukela, Silver Stars, Simunye, Young Brothers, Young Masters, Young Pirates, Young Killers and Vista.

The winners of the tournament stand a chance to win R5 000, with the second and third place winner up for R2 500 and R1 500 respectively.
