GEORGE CRICKET NEWS - The top two teams in the SWD Premier League, Union Stars (1st on 34 points after 9 matches) and George (2nd on 31 points after 9 matches), will be in action on Saturday at the Bridgton Sports Ground.

The winner of this match will have a good chance to end at the top of the log and directly qualify for a place in the final. 

Harlequins, who are in third position on the log (26 points after 9 matches), can strengthen their position for a place in the play-off match to qualify for the final when they take on Mossel Bay. The teams that finish second and third play in a qualifier to determine the other finalist.

The semi-final rounds of the Promotion League (Divisions 1 and 2) will be played on Saturday, as will the women's finals, with Union Stars defending their title against Harlequins. The match will be played at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn.

The fixtures for the weekend are:
Premier League: Union Stars vs George; Harlequins Forces vs Mossel Bay, Ramblers vs Knysna Cavaliers.

Women's League (final): Union Stars vs Harlequins Forces.

Promotional League: Division 1 (semi-finals): Sussex vs Pacaltsdorp United; Western Hope vs Riversdale.

Division 1 (semi-finals): Hartenbos vs Blanco; New Dawn Park vs Masakhane.
