GEORGE NEWS - Run2Raise 2018, a registered Nedbank Running Club George event subject to the rules of Athletics SA and Athletics SWD, is once again taking place on Workers Day, Tuesday 1 May at Farm and Fellow, Tramonto, just outside George.
The proceeds will go towards a running blade for a little boy who dreams of becoming an Olympic blade runner one day.
The cost of one blade for a ten-year-old child costs up to R50 000 and all proceeds raised at this year's event will contribute towards a sprinting blade for Ronaldinho Davids with the assistance of local companies.
The entry fee is R55 for 10km and R20 for 3 km. Lots of lucky draws will take place and the cash prize for the main draw is a whopping R2 000.
There will also be an optional raffle ticket of R10 in a special draw and the winner takes home a tent to the value of R4 000.
