GEORGE NEWS - Nedbank SWD athlete Lloyd Bosman did George proud by taking second place in the Two Oceans marathon in Cape Town this morning. He finished the ultra marathon in an excellent time of 03:09:58.

Bosman was in the lead, but in the last few kilometres of the race was overtaken by winner Onalenna Khonkhobe.

This is Bosman's second Two Oceans and he did extremely well by moving up from 12th place last year to today's second.

After the race Bosman said he had some problems up Constantia Hill, but the race went very well. 

"I know I'm fit. I'm training at the moment with Elroy (Gelant) and last week when he ran and came second in Gqeberha I knew I was in good shape because we're in the same programme.

" When he went over that line I was screaming and I knew next week with the Two Oceans was going to be my time, and I got my second."
