GEORGE NEWS - Lindile Tokota took the honours in the popular Outeniqua Marathon organised by Outeniqua Harriers with Kutnuavo Ramabea (West Coast) who won the ladies category.
A large group of athletes participated in this years marathon which started in George and fi-nished at Ebb & Flow in Wilderness.

The results are:

MEN:
Open: 1 Lindile Tokota (Ned SWD) 2:39:55; 2 Principal Fana (Rainbow Athletic Club) 2:45:55; 3 Sidney Landsberg (Nedbank SWD) 2:46:20.
40-49: 1 Lindile Tokota; 2 Principal Fana.
50-59: 1 Mark Tolsma (Satori) 3:31:25; 2 Jacob Karelse (Mossel Bay Harriers) 3:34:30.
60+: 1 Casper Greeff (Atlantic) 4:25:42; 2 Jurie Geldenhuys (Exxaro) 4:58:00.

WOMEN:
Open: 1 Kutnuavo Ramabea (West Coast) 3:14:00; 2 Lisl Grobler (Knysna Marathon Club) 3:21:00; 3 Romey Phillipson (Mosselbay Harriers) 3:43:10.
40-49: 1 Christa Smith (Hartenbos) 3:57:30; 2 Mariaan Brown (Knysna Marathon Club) 4:57:00.
50-59: 1 Ina Saayman (Hartenbos) 3:50:10; 2 Cilla Geldenhuys (Exxaro) 4:16:47.
60+: 1 Ester Oosthuizen (Hartenbos) 4:50:40; 2 Gail McLeldan (VOB) 4:53:29.


The female winner of the Outeniqua Marathon, Kutnuavo Ramabea of West Coast, who won in a time of 3:14:00 receivs her prize from Johann du Preez of Outeniqua Harriers.
