GEORGE NEWS - There is no doubt that one of the most interesting and critical elections in South Africa's history takes place on 29 May.
One of the main questions is whether the ANC will again win with an outright majority or if a coalition will have to be formed and with who.
Amidst the increasing political noise, mudslinging, building of political sandcastles, the question remains as to "who is listening to the citizens and has a constructive political solution?"
Business Café will be facilitating 'My Vote Counts' conversations with political parties deemed to be the 'kingmakers' as well as with faith-based citizenry about decisions regarding the future of South Africa.
Dr Dennis Farrell, founder member of Business Café, states that based on the latest polls of Wits University, Ipsos and other research institutions, they have extended invitations to potential kingmakers.
"Given the responses, we are finalising the programme with the Freedom Front Plus (3 May 24), EFF (10 May 24), ACDP (17 May) and confirmation for another party (on 24th May).
"We will also be scheduling conversations with Hope4SA as well as a Christian value-based conversation and workshop of which both dates will be confirmed during this week."
He stressed that these are not political gatherings or meetings. No banners or political material will and or may be displayed or issued.
"It is a conversation to hear the views of kingmakers in the political arena. Tolerance and respect for all views should be heard, upon which we as citizens are to make our objective decisions.
"The 2022 census indicated that 85,3% of South Africans follow the Christian faith and hence our value-based conversation with the Christian community as to their views on South Africa and the way forward."
