POLITICAL NEWS - The Democratic Alliance will review its coalition partner strategy in the East Region of the Western Cape following the Freedom Front Plus (FF+) collaboration with the ANC to remove the DA mayor, Chris Mcpherson from office in Oudtshoorn today.
In a statement issued by DA Regional Chairperson Venolea Fortuin, she says that the FF+ has always presented itself as a "reliable coalition partner" for the DA, but made it clear in her statement that this is no longer the case.
The FF+ joined the PA, GOOD and the Oudtshoorn Community Initiative in voting against Macpherson in a successful motion of no confidence.
Fortuin said the DA will review its relationship with parties in the region that are regarded as unreliable coalition partners.
