Preshalin Naidoo has been charged with culpable homicide as well as reckless and negligent driving that led to the death of Mhere and his passenger Kady-Shay O'bryan in January.
The trial was expected to start in the Randburg Magistrates Court today, but was delayed after Naidoo’s lawyer excused himself from the case, saying he could no longer trust his client.
This comes after the magistrate dismissed an application by the defence to postpone the trial.
Setusha said this was the last time she would allow him to delay court proceedings by changing his legal representative.
