A search has been launched for assailants who killed a police officer just after the Baden Powell Drive offramp.
The 50-year-old officer was en route to work when he was attacked this morning.
It is alleged he was driving to work in an unmarked police car when he got a flat tyre.
As he stopped to change the tyre, he was attacked and stabbed to death.
While the exact motives are unclear, it’s believed it was a robbery.
