NATIONAL NEWS - A memorial service for the late racing car driver Gugu Zulu will be held at the Kyalami race track today in Johannesburg.

Zulu passed away last week while trying to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

He was part of the Trek4Mandela team that took part in the expedition to raise funds for charity.

Zulu's friends and family are expected to share their memories of the 38-year-old at the race track, which is known as the home of South African racing.

Zulu had mild flu-like symptoms but was prepared to continue climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
