Killed whale shark found on beach
The dead whale shark.
NATIONAL NEWS - A whale shark was found on the beach at Kanon, also known as Visbaai near Mossel Bay, early on Wednesday afternoon.

Riekie van Rensburg, landowner in the area, who spotted the whale alerted rangers of the Fransmanshoek Conservancy to investigate and noticed that an arrow through the shark's skull, which is assumed to have been the cause of death.

The rangers also noticed that the shark's dorsal fin has been cut off.
