The MEC’s warning follows a fatal collision on the D3110 road at Mokurwenyane village outside Lephalale in the Waterberg district earlier this morning (January 8).
Three people were killed and one escaped with serious injuries in a head-on crash between a hatchback and a sedan.
“It is alleged that the driver of the hatchback was trying to overtake and collided with the oncoming sedan. Three people who were travelling in the hatchback, including the driver, were killed instantly. The driver of the other vehicle escaped with injuries, and reckless driving has been cited as a possible cause of the accident,” reads a statement by Transport media liaison officer Mike Maringa.
