According to pupils at Arena Park Secondary School, a fellow pupil had been playing the ‘Charlie-Charlie game,’ which invokes a Mexican spirit. The pupil allegedly asked the spirit a series of questions that is believed to invoke the spirit. Thereafter, a desk allegedly flipped over and caused panic and pandemonium in the classroom.
“We all ran out of the classroom and the teacher then locked the door. Everyone was sent to another classroom to continue the day’s lessons. We do not have any knowledge of Satanism, but we believe that this was a satanic ritual of some sort. My friends and I are worried about the consequences of this pupil invoking the spirit as we heard that these games end in death,” said a pupil.
Principal of the school, Pat Govender, denied that the incident happened. “I can assure the public that this episode never happened at our school. We held a meeting with parents regarding the issue,” he said.
