NATIONAL NEWS - Leon van Rooyen, the man convicted of killing Plettonian Alan Smit on 23 March 2019, was handed a sentence of three years imprisonment in the Knysna Magistrate's Court earlier this week.
Magistrate E Jacob's found Van Rooyen guilty of culpable homicide for the killing of Smit in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on Tuesday 22 February.
The case was then postponed to Monday, 4 April, to allow for the collection of pre-sentencing documents.
