Knysna was due to be one of the seven cities and towns in South Africa to slide into this extreme adventure on December 16 when Vigilance Drive was destined to be the main attraction in Knysna.
A total of three street blocks were selected by the Slide the City host to be transformed into thrilling ride sites as participants use inflatables to skim at high speed down the huge 304m-long waterslide, made of slippery, durable vinyl.
This morning, Friday November 13, Huisgenoot, YOU and Drum announced: “Slide the City events will no longer take place this year in light of one of South Africa’s driest seasons in recent years.”
