The man was taken into custody at his home in the Greenbushes area yesterday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Panayiotou’s body was found in an isolated field in the Kwanobuhle township a few days after she was reported missing in April last year.
The NPA’s Tsepo Ndwalaza says the man, believed to be in his thirties, was arrested yesterday and will appear in court tomorrow.
Ndwalaza says police used cellphone records to place the suspect at Panayiotou’s Kabega park home, together with two other accused – Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Sinethemba Nenembe.
