NATIONAL NEWS - A man (61) shot and killed a mother (58) and daughter (31) with a hunting rifle in Hartbeespoort on Monday.
Magdaleen Prinsloo and her daughter Ruzanne Weideman were shot at Prinsloo’s home in Kosmos.
According to information the family had guests and were outside by the swimming pool during the shooting.
Police spokesperson, Constable Ben Moabi, said an argument between the man and the two women broke out around 14:00.
“The suspect fetched a hunting rifle and shot and killed both women. They were declared dead at the scene by emergency services.
“The 61-year-old man was arrested on the scene and will appear in the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday on charges of murder,” Moabi said.
The investigation continues.
