Cape Town cop killers sentenced to life in prison

NATIONAL NEWS - Two men convicted of killing a pair of police officers in Nyanga have been sentenced to life behind bars.

The two were found guilty after murdering the officers last year.

Monwabisi Molefe and Anele Liwani each received life terms, while their accomplices Anele Thala and Thando Mdokwana were each handed five-year sentences.

Thala and Mdokwana were convicted of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The four, who were members of a notorious gang, showed no emotion as Judge Boet Smit read out their sentences.
