- Arrange a breakfast run - This is a win-win situation. Wake up early, drive in convoy with all your mates to a scenic venue, have something delicious to eat, admire the view and chat about cars. Promptly drive back and you’ll still have time for that all-important braai, anyway;
- Wash your car - Okay, many people think that the idea of washing your car is unnecessary cardio but we feel that it’s the best way to get to know your car. It can be depressing to see all the scratches and dings but at the same time, the end result if so rewarding;
- Go on a road trip - We have such a beautiful country, with some epic roads, so take the road less travelled and enjoy the journey, not the destination, although we’re sure a braai would go down well once you’ve arrived;
- Attend a motorsport event - If you’re in the Gauteng area this long weekend there’s the penultimate round of the Extreme Festival at Zwartkops on Heritage Day the 24th of September.
