German newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung Mainz has alleged that the new Corsa F will share a number of components with corresponding Peugeot and Citroën models, likely to include the next generation Peugeot 208. The latest reports comes less than a day after the Russelsheim-based automaker announced that a record 750 000 Corsa E's had been ordered since its debut in 2014.
Accounting for a third of Opel's total sales volume, the Corsa F will most likely feature styling derived from the Astra and Insignia Grand Sport, and be the fourth model after the Crossland X, Grandland X and Combo to be made in partnership with PSA. Production will once take place at Opel's Zaragoza plant in Spain.
